Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Systems Analyst and ops Support DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role encompasses both infrastructure and application support, ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of our development, security, and operations processes. You will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, software development, security, and DevOps practices. In this role, you will specialize in maintaining and providing technical support for applications beyond the development stage, ensuring their smooth operation within the firm. This position also involves close collaboration with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal/external clients to address and resolve technical support incidents. You will be a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills who can work effectively across various teams.

As an IT Systems Analyst and DevOps Support Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure Support:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of cloud environments
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular infrastructure audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis

Application Support:

  • Support internal Network Engineering applications to prevent incidents from reoccurring
  • Expand knowledge base of operating procedures/runbooks for supported applications
  • Collaborate within the team to resolve application alerts and advance as needed
  • Gather requested documentation in support of ongoing audits requests
  • Complete assigned steps of the Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, collecting BCM evidence as needed
  • Ensure automation produces expected results within stated thresholds
  • Monitor Dashboard to provide better access to potential issues and future outages
  • Analyze proposed application design and provide feedback on potential gaps to business requirements
  • Complete renewals/service account password changes as scheduled, resolve production defects, and handle minor enhancements as needed
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk, advances appropriately
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline
  • Implement and manage security tools and technologies (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode, Snyk, Dynatrace) to ensure secure code development and deployment.
  • Perform code reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for security validation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, working closely with development and QA teams

Security Operations:

  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines for both infrastructure and applications
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Monitor security events and incidents, responding promptly and effectively to mitigate risks
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for development and operations teams
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats and technologies, recommending improvements as necessary

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, security) to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Drive the adoption of DevSecOps best practices and tools across the organization
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure security and operational requirements are addressed
  • Continuously evaluate and improve DevSecOps processes, tools, and methodologies

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application support
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
  • Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of security principles, practices, and tools (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode, Snyk, Jfrog)
  • Strong experience in APM tools configuration and monitoring (Dynatrace/AppDynamics/New Relic/Datadog/Splunk/Sumo Logic)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
