Role Overview:

As a Security Analyst II, you are responsible for cyber threat identification, assessment, prioritization, and mitigation efforts. You play a pivotal role as a core member of the incident response team by reviewing current proposed alterations to systems, networks, and software designs. You analyze logging and alerting data, promptly identifying and escalating potential security incidents. You collaborate closely with business users and ensure the seamless integration of cybersecurity measures into daily operations. What you do each day:  

  • Oversee security systems like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention tools, antivirus software, and SIEM platforms to detect and respond to breaches or suspicious activities
  • Investigate security incidents, determine their cause and impact, and orchestrate appropriate response actions, including plan development and execution
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize vulnerabilities within systems and networks through regular scans, patch management, and collaboration with system administrators
  • Monitor threat intelligence feeds and security advisories to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
  • Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, and assist in policy development and enforcement
  • Provide cybersecurity education to employees through workshops, materials, and one-on-one sessions to reduce security incidents caused by human error
  • Perform controlled cyber attack simulations (penetration tests) to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements for strengthening security posture

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in DevOps, cybersecurity, or related field, with a focus on security automation and integration
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security, DevOps Engineer) a plus
  • Knowledge of scripting and programming languages(i.e. Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards(i.e. NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR)
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks(i.e. PCI DSS, SOX)
  • Experience within the Google Workspace suite of tools
  • What will help you succeed in this role:
    • Experience with cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data encryption
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and assess risks effectively
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Strong understanding of security concepts, such as OWASP, vulnerabilities management, authentication, authorization, and encryption
    • Hands-on experience with security tools such: as EDR, vulnerability management, Kali or similar tools.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) a plus

This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $76,000-$95,000. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
