Asset Architect- Professional Services

Our Professional Services development team is growing, and we are seeking an Asset Architect.  The Asset Development group is focused on delivering products in a rapid development cycle to augment and extend Five9 core product offerings. This role consists of rapid product development leveraging modern development methodologies and tools that automate the definition, architecture, development and delivery of software products.
The candidate will be expected to work in a team environment via web conferences, and chat collaboration. The candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently. If you thrive on challenging, ever-changing development projects, then this may be just the position for you!

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure best-practices, preferably Google Cloud.
• Excellent understanding of the continuous integration practice.
• Proficiency in specifying and implementing test and production environment infrastructure.
• Strong software development background. Full stack developer.
• Experience working with end-to-end tool chains including project definition and organization, source control, linting, test automation.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence a plus.
• Basic: JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, Node.js.
• Preferred: Typescript, Nest.js, Vue
• Toolchain: Visual Studio Code, Jira, Confluence, Git
•  An understanding of cloud-based software development considerations and architectures (GCP, AWS, etc.) and web-based API interfaces (SOAP, REST, AJAX, WebSocket, etc.)
• Proficiency in using Unix-based operating systems.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years’ experience in application or integration software development. Application development related to Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) with systems such as Cisco ICM/UCCE, Genesys, or Avaya is a plus.
• 3 or more years development experience in web-based applications (HTML5, JavaScript) and associated tooling such as jQuery, Backbone.js, Bootstrap, Require JS, Ext JS, Marionette, etc.
• 1 or more years’ experience with web application hosting services such as Heroku, OpenShift, or self-hosted Node.js services.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is required.

This role is fully remote for candidates who reside at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations. For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Francisco or San Ramon locations, this role will be Hybrid.
