Automation and Control System Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading company with an established international presence in Electrical Instrumentation and Automation Design, particularly in the Mining and Power Plant sectors. Providing cutting-edge solutions that help their clients achieve their operational objectives. We are seeking an experienced Automation and Control System Engineer. This role will be critical in designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems for various industrial applications

A day in the life of a Systems Engineer:

You will be responsible to design, develop, and lead implementation of complex systems solutions for the organization. As well as maintaining the communication with vendors and stakeholders.

Your day-to-day:

• Develop and design automation and control systems for industrial applications, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Utilize expertise in Siemens PCS7 or ABB 800xA, including CFC, STL, SFC, and Safety Matrix, to develop software solutions and draft specifications.
• Design fault-tolerant and failsafe systems and understand P&ID, PFD, and electrical diagrams.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement control strategies for new and existing projects.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems during the design and production phases.
• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, configurations, and user manuals.
• Engage with vendors and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Travel to onsite locations for audits and controls.

Requirements

• Degree in Control, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Siemens PCS7 or ABB 800xA.
• Proficiency in Electrical Instrumentation and Control Design.
• Strong experience in industrial plant environments, preferably in sectors like Metallurgy, Energy, Chemistry, and Oil & Gas.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to travel (Mainly within Schengen space)
• Proficiency in English
