Software Asset Analyst

Prioritizes and processes end user requests for IT software within established SLAs.

• Ensures IT software requests are processed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Performs daily maintenance of the software asset management system including updating software entitlements, models, contracts, and costs.
• Preforms daily activities of the software asset management process including reclaiming subscriptions and reviewing/resolving license questions.
• Verifies the accuracy of existing software discovery and license data and assists with the integration of new software applications in the SAM system.  
• Collects, analyzes and reports on software license and subscription data for various internal department to provide for software optimization and compliance.
• Supports the software license discovery and integration process for company acquisitions.  
• Recommends amendments to existing procedures to streamline the license management process and optimize software usage in accordance with Industry best practices.
• Understands the current environment and how usage information is discovered for the various applications.
• Serves as primary point of contact for vendor requested license audits.
• Serves as the system administrator and primary point of contact for assigned suppliers.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding of MSO365, MS Teams, and software asset management. Experience with Service Now SAM and/or a formal asset management system is a requirement.

Preferred Experience:

• 5 years of professional work experience in IT software or hardware asset management.
• Self-Starter who works independently or as part of a team.
• Solid written, verbal and presentation skills.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $67,000-80,000.  The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.   Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
