The Insurance Specialist assist clients with finding proper insurance for their needs during transitional periods. This role serves as a subject matter expert in Annuity, Life, DI, and LTC products and supports Wealth Enhancement's financial advisors by researching solutions for their clients' needs. The Insurance Specialist reports to the Director of Insurance.
This position is a fully remote opportunity. The salary target for this role is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience.

Primary Job Functions
Assist with obtaining Annuity, Life, DI, and LTC products for clients
Evaluate client insurance options
Evaluate their needs and make recommendations based on market availability
Help obtain supplemental insurance if applicable
Help clients understand options for coverage and plan design
Work with Director of Insurance to resolve any operational issues
Work effectively with approved Insurance Brokerage Firms
Support advisors with insurance solutions for clients
Meet with clients and advisors to determine need
Promote services to current and perspective clients
Utilize technology to update and inform team of client needs and status
Provide educational information for team on processes and offerings
Work with Advisors to get Contracted/Appointed with the insurance carriers
Product research
Stay apprised of market changes and offerings
Stay apprised of new Annuity, Life, DI, LTC products
Work effectively with the Director of Insurance to set strategic direction
Assist clients through underwriting process
Prep applications with client
Monitor the progress of all applications and policy issues
Track progress toward risk management goals
Education/Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the areas of annuities, life, long-term care, or long-term disability processing and post issue servicing
Knowledge of annuity, life, long term care and disability insurance products
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Familiarity with Salesforce and Support Org functionality
Insurance License preferred
Willingness to obtain Series 6 or 7, or CLU designation preferred
