Job Description

SUMMARY: The Esports Intern is responsible for supporting and facilitating virtual socialization experiences for hosted by Stride Esports for the public.

Project/Program Management Intern focuses on providing central expertise, support, and control for an organization's projects/programs including: developing program/project management best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to project teams; monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related projects; gathering and reporting consolidated project status and financial information to leadership. High School diploma or GED, 0-1 year of related experience

SUMMARY: The Esports Intern is responsible for supporting and facilitating virtual socialization experiences for hosted by Stride Esports for the public.

  • The Project Management Admin Intern will help plan, organize, promote, and implement the Stride Esports offerings
  • Moderate Stride Esports owned discords by answering players to their questions and helping with tournament operations on tournament days
  • Help create, maintain, and oversee competitive rules set for all leagues and tournaments
  • Facilitate prize fulfillment and maintain all necessary records for tracking purposes
  • Help Stride tournament operations team with maintaining and updating event call sheet, event checklists and help with other event logistics
  • Ensure that all institutional, as well as any Esports organizational policies and procedures are adhered to and complied with.
  • Complete reports on competition progress and completion to the executive team and other departments
  • Be a POC for Stride Esports replying to all emails and/or phone calls
  • Research and develop new competitive experiences in the Esports arena
  • Oversee online challenges/competition and further help evaluating those submissions
  • Maintain records for tournaments in aspects like registered users, attendance, prize winners and payouts
  • Create and distribute materials for communication within the school and on social media platforms
  • Oversee appropriate online conversations among community in socialization platforms
  • Ability to represent Stride Esports in presenting opportunities to students and increasing socialization

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Three (3) years of successful experience in Esports and gaming industry
  • Ability to work on the weekend and some nights
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a cordial manner
  • Must have access to consistent strong Wi-Fi to work remotely
  • Candidates should have experience and knowledge in the gaming industry
  • Must have a good understanding of tournament bracketing and rules for some competitive titles
  • Must have a solid understanding of the management of equipment, tournaments, and Esports programs
  • Proficient in online gaming platforms and Discord
  • In addition to knowledge of different games, candidate must have knowledge of Twitch or other streaming platforms
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge
  • An ability to support and guide adults as well as students
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate this position will pay $21.08 - $33.73 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Randstad. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
