The Project Management Specialist II for the ERAS Program will play a critical role in facilitating the efficient execution and management of projects within the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) Program’s account management team. This individual will work closely with stakeholders, including program directors, managers, team members, and end-users, to ensure the successful planning, implementation, and completion of various initiatives within the ERAS framework. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
How will you make an impact?
Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to support project activities.
Oversee the execution of project activities according to established plans. Monitor progress against milestones, track expenses, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and change requests. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and leadership.
Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure timely resolution and minimize disruptions.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Collaboration and Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the ERAS Program. Implement best practices and lessons learned to optimize project outcomes.
Foster a collaborative working environment by promoting open communication, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
What you'll bring to the role
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare or technology-related environment.
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion.
Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and/or residency application processes is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Remote Work Eligibility
This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US
Compensation Grade Range and Mid-Point
Grade Range:$66,300.00 - $123,100.00/ Grade Mid-Point:$94,700.00
The above annual compensation range and mid-point are general guidelines. For candidates who meet the criteria, the AAMC's compensation philosophy is to target the midpoint of the salary range. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.
If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
