Job Description Summary
The Consulting Engineer, Controls Cybersecurity leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in the field of OT Cybersecurity. Responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within cybersecurity as it relates to the OT equipment deployed to control and manage gas plant related equipment inclusive of steam turbines, HRSG, and total plant.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Recognized technical expert in cybersecurity as it relates to OT network architectures and industrial control systems.
  • Remain current on state-of-the-art cybersecurity best practices, risk reduction, and upcoming technical and government regulations and how they impact product offerings.
  • Provide technical leadership in design reviews, task force, industrial committees, and design boards as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Chief Consulting Engineer and control title holders in Controls.
  • Provide technical consultation to controls and to other internal supplier and manufacturing organizations.
  • Enhance technical excellence in the Controls organization in the focus area of cybersecurity.
  • Identify and recommend where improvements in knowledge of OT cybersecurity are needed or where technical training is needed.
  • Provide leadership to help focus and integrate new OT cybersecurity solutions into product.
  • Suggest areas where advancements are needed to recommend approaches/programs to pursue.
  • Lead/support study teams to address process gaps and problems within the organization or projects focused on cybersecurity.
  • Consult with and support the Chief Engineer’s Office in the execution of technical goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • At least 8 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Networking principals, and OT hardware platforms 
  • Industrial process or power generation background preferred
  • Experience developing new products from inception to delivery
  • Considered an expert in Cybersecurity
  • Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Leadership to pursue correct engineering process in adverse conditions
  • Ability to succeed in a global team environment

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $150,900.00 - 251,500.00 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
