Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Back-End Developer with 10+ years of experience in designing and developing complex web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of back-end systems for client projects, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex back-end systems using modern technologies, such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, and other backend languages/frameworks.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with our front-end systems.
  • Work with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and others to create efficient and reliable data storage and retrieval solutions.
  • Build and maintain automated testing suites and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Lead the development team in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to deployment and post-deployment maintenance and support.
  • Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionality.
  • Continuously research and learn new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve development processes and software performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and other team members.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and developer communities to enhance your skills and build your reputation as a thought leader in the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in back-end software development.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Node.js, Ruby, Python, or Java.
  • Proven experience leading a development team and designing complex back-end systems.
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployment and hosting environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Contractor experience a plus
