Senior Product Manager II

Job Description

About the role:

AccuTrade is looking for a Senior Product Manager who is a highly motivated individual with a background of bringing commercialized products to market in an online environment across a large sales team.  We are actively seeking a candidate to join our AccuTrade team as a Senior Product Manager II who will be focused on managing a soon-to-be-released product to our 1,000+ dealer customers.  This role will work with customers, technology, operations, sales, finance and marketing teams to ensure the launch and ongoing product management are successful.  This Senior PM II will be instrumental in increasing AccuTrade’s dealer market share and product growth.

As a Senior Product Manager II at AccuTrade, you are a creative problem solver, a role model to other PMs, and an executor driven by positive outcomes for our customers. You have strong customer empathy and make product decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative customer and business data. You make decisions by optimizing for ROI and driving bottom-line/top-line performance. You work with our technology team, bringing products and features to life through an iterative development cycle.  Once delivered, you will work with the sales, operations and marketing teams to launch such products and features across 1,000+ dealer customers as well as 200+ front-line sellers.

This individual should posses very strong product development skill sets, working in a fast-paced online technical environment.  They should also have past experience in developing value messaging, communicating that message to customers and training teams.  Reporting value demonstration back to customers is also a critical portion of this role. Working with our Finance team, the Senior Product Manager II will determine optimal pricing in accordance to that demonstrated value.  In short, the product development portion of this role is only half the journey.  The other half is launching and scaling those products across a large customer base yet be simple enough to sell through a disparate sales channel.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automotive technology, product development and bringing products to market that can stand the tests of time.

Essential job functions:

  • Product Development: Ability to listen to dealer customer needs and translate them into optimal product features that can scale.  Become a subject matter expert in the AccuTrade product, understanding its functionality and capabilities thoroughly. Address dealer inquiries on new feature requests or feature requirements through curiosity and 1 to 1 interactions.  Working with our technical team in an agile environment to bring those features to life.
  • Go-to-Market: Drive commercialized adoption of Accu-Trade and new product features by working with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, operations, finance and legal.  Think about scale at every turn - ensuring not just 1,000 dealers can use the platform but 5,000+.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis skills to create, manage, and deliver new feature opportunities or solve complex problems for our dealers.  Also use these skills to optimize your go-to-market strategies. Simply put, data-driven decision-making is key to the success of this role.

Additional job functions:

  • Define and deliver the roadmap for your product(s).
  • Be a hands on coach, mentor and role model to more junior Product Managers, while also building best in class products for your customers.

  • Consistently deliver high value and impactful work, on schedule.
  • Drive real customer and business value that shows up internally and externally, regularly and predictably.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to improve our processes and ensure team alignment towards goals.

  • Establish effective, trusting relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Establish yourself as an expert and thought leader in your specific product space.
  • Communicate roadmaps, updates and key accomplishments effectively and broadly throughout the organization.
  • Work across other internal teams to establish clear interconnected roadmaps to align on intersection points.

Required experience:

  • 7+ years in a commercialized product management role within an online environment, across mobile and web; or some combination of experience as a product manager and other relevant experience, with a history of delivering significant and meaningful business and customer outcomes across a full product line.
  • 5+ years bringing developed products to market, working with sales, marketing, operations and customers on implementation
  • Demonstrated product sense with an in-depth understanding of UX design principles and product experimentation (i.e. A/B testing, User testing, etc.).
  • You have experience working across the entire product process (strategy through to delivery) and have exceptional grasp of the fundamental principles of product management, lean product development and agile practices.
  • Experience defining KPIs and product metrics and using them to drive decisions, and pairing that with a sense for how and when to balance data with intuition.
