Position Overview:

Terabase is seeking an experienced SCADA Product Manager to join our team of highly skilled professionals who deliver high-end services and solutions for renewable energy power plants. We specialize in SCADA systems, network, cybersecurity, and plant controls, essentially operating a mini data center. Our standard offerings utilize Ignition by Inductive Automation for visualization, data collection, data historization, and various monitoring tools to ensure efficient plant operations.

 

 

What You’ll Do At Terabase

As the SCADA Product Manager, you will lead the development and management of the Terabase SCADA system. This includes maintaining design guides, defining server hardware requirements, ensuring project compliance, and implementing DevOps methodologies. You will collaborate with Business Development and project engineers, oversee design reviews, ensure successful system deployment, provide updates on SCADA product development, and coordinate efforts with other product owners to ensure the final product meets customer specifications and industry standards.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

 

Product Development and Management:

  • Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the Terabase SCADA system.
  • Maintain design requirements and guidelines for Terabase Standard Ignition offerings.
  • Develop and implement new features and improvements to our standard SCADA solutions.
  • Manage the Ignition development environment across multiple projects, both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Develop and maintain multiple SCADA templates that meet key customer requirements.

 

 

Technical Oversight:

  • Determine server hardware needs to run the SCADA system efficiently.
  • Configure historians for effective data collection, storage, and retrieval.
  • Set up and configure I/O devices to ensure proper data flow and system integration.
  • Oversee vendors to ensure delivered projects meet the specified requirements.
  • Review customer requirements and identify deviations from standard offerings, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  • Work with project teams to set up Ignition Gateways and Perspective screens for individual systems.
  • DevOps Implementation:
    • Implement DevOps methodologies using Azure and Git or Visual Studio.
    • Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
    • Manage source code repositories and version control.
    • Ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are established and maintained.

 

 

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with Business Development and project engineers to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Participate in SCADA design reviews with customers up to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Ensure that at FAT, our SCADA system meets all project requirements and is ready to deploy to the site.
  • Develop historical data best practices and incorporate lessons learned from projects into templates and design documents.

 

 

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable project requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to management on SCADA product development progress, risks, and issues.
  • Coordinate efforts with other product owners to ensure the delivered products meet customer and industry specifications.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project success.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or related.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • 7+ years of SCADA development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation. Including Perspective screen development.
  • 5+ years of using programming languages. Python a plus.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel, 5-10%

 

Additional Or Preferred Requirements:

 

  • 10+ years of SCADA development.
  • Experience in setting up virtual machines on physical servers and in Azure.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps platform and Jira Project Development.
  • Strong Experience with MS SQL Server and other databases.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement/Lessons Learned program.
  • Experience managing a team of software developers.

 

 

Compensation And Benefits

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  Terabase offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package including:
