This role is responsible for driving fundraising success through strategic initiatives focused on program growth of corporate, T1D (Type 1 Diabetes) adults and families, volunteers, and additional audience related initiatives.  This work reflects partnership with other national staff stakeholders and in consultation with chapter staff.

The National Manager champions a strategic and integrated approach to all Peer to Peer (P2P) program development including sponsorship development, corporate and adult/family team/participant recruitment/fundraising, high level volunteer leader engagement, training and coaching that increases fundraising achievement at all levels. This role also ensures an extraordinary participant and corporate partner experience while assuring accuracy in data reporting practices.  

The National Manager provides expertise and leadership to help ensure initiatives are positioned and supported for revenue growth through resource development including budget and event planning, data analysis, communication, and training. The collective body of work delivers successful implementation and financial results of the program.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Assists in driving fundraising success through the development and delivery of overall Breakthrough T1D P2P core program strategies and ensure revenue results are achieved.
  • Collaborates with key national stakeholders and utilizes data trends to drive and deliver greater revenue through prioritized initiatives.   
  • Regularly evaluates KPIs and revenue streams, including but not limited to local and national sponsorship, corporate and family teams, individuals, matching gifts, and local corporate campaigns, seeking trends that will assist chapters and the P2P Program in growing all P2P events in line with short and long-term goals. 
  • Builds a collaborative relationship with department stakeholders and works together to address specific market/Chapter characteristics and opportunities to increase revenue.   Ensures excellence in implementation of all core strategies with a strong emphasis on acquisition, retention, and upgrades. 
  • Reviews trends and works with Program Director and Chapter leadership to address areas of opportunity and risk for P2P campaigns. 
  • Partners with the Manager of Program Resources on needs, content development and facilitation of Program training opportunities to maximize growth of programs.
  • Serves as a liaison to other national stakeholder teams in assigned content specific areas.
  • Completes special projects as assigned and partners with national departments when applicable to ensure excellence of the project. 
  • Reviews trends and works with National Director and department stakeholders to address areas of opportunity as it relates to diverse audience recruitment and engagement.

Qualifications

  •  5 years of relevant fundraising experience, particularly in peer to peer events. This should include event planning, non-profit management with emphasis on strategic planning, revenue generation, relationship maximization and stewardship, logistics, and fiscal management.
  • 3 years’ experience collaborating with high level volunteers preferred. 
  • Superior ability to influence and deliver results through persuasive communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrated competency when handling diversified assignments. 
  • Team player with the ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers.  
  • Ability to leverage relationships, both externally and internally. 
  • Superior active listening, observation, analytical, and problem recognition and solving skills. 
  • Proficiency with technology to support the donor or event participant experience, specifically related to CRM platforms and business tools (Salesforce and MS Office preferred).
  • Willingness to learn while striving for excellence. 
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Target Salary - $65k - $85k
