Assistant Controller

Their role is to mastermind the financial reporting and accounting needs, as well as work directly with across our portfolio of businesses. They are analytical, thoughtful, able to pivot quickly, maneuver adeptly and stay organized through it all. They are curious and astute in their practice, and their attention to detail is unparallelled

Requested Tasks

• Financial reporting oversight for Makeready entities, shared services and Home Office 
• Manage and maintain the day-to-day activities related to accounts payable, cash disbursements, and fixed assets records 
• Assist with general ledger reconciliations
• Works directly with all internal systems (Intact, Concur, ADP, Profit Sword, etc.)
• Assist in preparing forecasts and budgets 
• Internal control oversight assistance 
• Prepares monthly financial statements, journal entries, and accruals 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting required 
• Additional certifications highly preferred
• Prior experience with multi-entity companies required; hotel accounting experience preferred
• Prior experience with month-end close  
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills 
• Prior experience with a larger ERP
