DUTIES:                               Contribute to the Open Source Program Office (OSPO), responsible for empowering Comcast technologists to consume and contribute to Open Source Software (OSS), while also complying with the proper guidelines and licenses; perform program and project management in an Agile development environment; review OSS Licenses and compliance for existing products and applications; use GitHub and Git repositories for source code version control; track OSS compliance issues using JIRA and help teams address them before products and applications are launched; use FOSSA for risk management audits; integrate license scanning tooling into CI/CD processes; review incoming contribution requests; own the Open Source Advisory Council meeting, ensuring that requests for contributions are handled quickly and efficiently; manage the open source contribution process, including reviewing ticketing queue, scheduling review meetings, and closing on approved projects; track metrics on approved tickets, areas approved, and SLAs for approval; work with subject-matter experts across Comcast to define the lifecycle of Comcast’s open source projects; and drive Comcast’s upstream open source community programs, including training, communications and involvement at internal and external events. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience performing program and project management in an Agile development environment; reviewing Open Source Software (OSS) Licenses for existing products and applications; using GitHub and Git repositories for source code version control; tracking OSS compliance issues in JIRA; and using FOSSA for risk management audits
