Your missions

Scope & Overall Purpose of the Job:

The Telematics & Fleet Monitoring Administrator will manage and optimize telematics systems to track and monitor the company's fleet of vehicles or assets. This role includes administrative tasks such as record-keeping, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing user access.

The position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of fleet monitoring and telematics solutions, including developing documentation, providing training and coaching to internal customers, and managing system updates and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to telematics systems and fleet monitoring processes. Create manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system use and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of fleet-related data, including vehicle information, maintenance schedules, driver records, and telematics system performance metrics. Ensure records are organized, accessible, and confidential.
  • Hardware Management: Capture, maintain, and allocate hardware within the telematics platforms. Oversee the inventory of telematics devices, such as GPS trackers or sensors, ensure proper installation on vehicles or assets, and maintain accurate records of hardware assignments.
  • Reporting System Management: Generate and distribute reports from telematics platforms to relevant stakeholders. Schedule report generation tasks, select appropriate report formats, and ensure timely delivery to support decision-making and operational activities. Oversee the setup and configuration of reporting tools, ensure accuracy and reliability, and allocate reporting resources based on organizational needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes related to telematics system management and fleet monitoring. Implement new tools or technologies, streamline workflows, and provide feedback for system enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of technology with a desire to learn.
  • Experience with and intuitive understanding of advanced telematics or related fields.
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience within the transport industry and environment.
  • Experience with logistics or ERP administration tasks.
  • Field-related experience within the telematics industry.
  • Working knowledge of heavy vehicles and operations.
