Business Intelligence Developer II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duck Creek Technologies LLC seeks a Business Intelligence Developer II - Manager Level based out of our U.S. headquarters in Boston, MA; however, this is a Remote First (telecommuting/work-from-home) position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. Note, this position does not require travel. The Business Intelligence Developer II will develop and maintain BI interfaces that support Duck Creek Technology’s initiative to improve Data Quality, Data Audit processes and Corporate Metrics Reporting, including developing a Data Architecture with role-based security.  Job responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) interfaces.
• Design, develop, and implement an architecture solution to enable Duck Creek Technology to implement record-level data security within their business intelligence ecosystem.
• Develop business dashboards working with Enterprise and Data Analytics and business teams
• Develop audit reports to verify data completeness and quality
• Design processes to monitor data cleansing efforts
• Automate data refreshes and scheduled processes removing manual intervention whenever possible.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The position of Business Intelligence Developer II - Manager Level requires a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT, Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering/computer/analytical field. The position also requires 7 years of progressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Systems Engineer/Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer, in the job offered, or in other positions involving business intelligence.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT, Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering/computer/analytical field plus 5 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer/Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer, in the job offered, or in other positions involving business intelligence.

Additionally, the applicant must have the following number of years of professional experience with each of the following:

1.         5 years: Developing solutions, gathering business requirements, and creating functional specifications for enhancements; conducting customization using programming languages.

2.         2 years: BI Visualization tools (such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) and RLS

3.         2 years: Performing ETL/ELT and SQL coding (using tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, SSIS/SSMS, Tableau Prep Builder) within a cloud-based data warehouse (such as Snowflake, Oracle, BigQuery, etc.) and downstream enablement in a BI visualization tool;

4.         2 years: Implementing/supporting Kimball, Inmon, or Data Vault data warehouse methodologies;

5.         2 years: Establishing and maintaining reporting dashboards for enterprise-wide and executive analytics, including maintenance of back-end transformation layers and data pipelines; and

6.         1 year: Incorporating business applications from data sources through APIs into a cloud-based data warehouse, directly into a BI platform, or using a tool (such as a Fivetran).
