*** REMOTE POSITION
*** Manager will do phone interviews and there will be a panel interview via WebEx with our design leads and there is an exercise that the participant will need to turn in if we would like to move forward with panel interview.
TOP 5 SKILLS:
• Define the visual design strategy for our entertainment products and work with other designers and cross-functional partners to drive consensus across products.
• Successfully juggle multiple projects spanning in scale and complexity with hands on experience throughout the process, from interactive experiences to visual design guidelines.
• Design elegant user interfaces and interactions while maintaining a systematic design system and asset library. Consistently design with patterns and a system at large but have the sensibility to break patterns and develop new ones when the solution calls for it.
• Actively contribute and improve our design system language.
• Lead the project team and stakeholders to maintain a cohesive design and experience throughout our product, while providing expertise and adaptability.
- Ideal candidate shows a strong portfolio with product work that spans across multiple platforms. Process and thinking is just as important as the outcome of the product, we like candidates who are able to articulate this either thru a case study or be able to speak to it thoroughly. We're looking for strong systematic thinking and discipline to adhere to visual principles set forth for the project/product (consistency is key).
o Designs with a consistent process, starting with understanding the problem, followed by exhaustive explorations of solutions.
o Shows beautiful design solutions that are backed up by user and business needs. Work and presentation reflects a passion for user-centric design.
o Exhibits a strong understanding of the impact copy and motion has on the user experience.
o Work is driven by business, user, and technical needs.
o 5+ years of UI design. In-house is preferable, but will consider the right candidates coming from agency-side.
o Portfolio of original and breakthrough work with demonstrated documentation of those experiences.
o Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
o Have cross-platform design experiences (Web to Mobile to TV) you are technically fluent, comfortable working closely with engineering
o Expert knowledge of assets implementation standards on iOS, Android, and Web
o Proficiency in UI design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Zeplin, and Abstract
o Prototyping experience with applications such as Principal, Flinto, Framer or Invision
o Bachelor's degree in fine arts, design, or human-centered interaction or professional experience.
- What were not looking for:
o Marketing / Promo content design (ads, banners, digital assets)
o Limited experience to only one platform (i.e. websites)
