Job Overview: The Storage and Backup Engineer will be responsible for managing and securing data storage and backup infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining storage solutions, ensuring data protection, and supporting overall cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Storage Management:

• Design, deploy, and manage storage systems to meet performance and security requirements.
• Optimize storage capacity and performance.

Backup and Recovery:

• Implement and maintain backup solutions to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Security Implementation:

• Integrate security measures into storage and backup systems.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor storage and backup systems for performance and security.
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches.

Incident Response:

• Respond to and resolve storage and backup-related incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Data Protection:

• Implement data encryption, access controls, and other security measures.
• Ensure data is protected from unauthorized access and breaches.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and network teams to ensure cohesive data protection strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to team members.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage and backup configurations, processes, and security measures.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience in managing storage and backup systems.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and data protection.
• Skills:
• Proficiency with storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Certifications:
• Relevant certifications such as SNIA, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
