Accounting Manager

This is a remote full-time role with a US-based tech company. You will be working US hours which will translate to 6pm - 2am (Pakistan time). This role is ideal for candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience in an audit firm and having prior experience of preparing financial reports as per US GAAP.

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a critical role in financial reporting, budget preparation, and forecasting, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. In addition, you should be highly organized, self-motivated, and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities

• Report directly to the CEO and manage a junior resource
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
• Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures
• Management Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing and developing a finance team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiency

Ideal Background / Experience

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech company
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with financial analysis and strategic planning
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
