Job Description

Zendesk is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Corporate and Key Metrics Finance to lead our finance teams in driving strategic insights and financial performance across the organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance & Strategy, this role will lead a team of ~30 finance professionals across the globe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance, business partnering, and strategic analysis, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Corporate Finance team responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the overall company.

  • Oversee the R&D and G&A Business Partnering Finance team, providing strategic financial guidance and support to these key functional areas.

  • Direct the Strategic Finance team focused on managing key metrics and performance indicators for the business, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluation.

  • Partner closely with executive leadership, including the CFO, CEO, and other senior stakeholders, to drive financial strategy and decision-making.

  • Lead near-term and long-range planning for Zendesk, including interlock with product development and go-to-market approach with company financials.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function to enhance accuracy, scalability, and effectiveness.

  • Scale critical workstreams across global team, including shared services, for the broader financial planning organization.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions overseeing corporate finance functions.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Experience in the technology industry and familiarity with SaaS business models preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $237,600.00-$356,400.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
