The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands. 

 

ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes. 

 

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Python/Linux Scripting Engineer- Data Infrastructure to join our team. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • The Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services  

  • Support development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS and on-premises data environments  

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure with Linux and Python scripting experience in AWS and on-premises database environments  

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure  

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary  

  • Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance  

  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure  

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business 

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in building infrastructure and supporting data platforms using Linux and Python Scripting  

  • Demonstrable analytical experience and ability to work in a complex system environment  

  • Familiarity with Database and SQL functions  

  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues by collaborating with a team of system operations professionals  

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must be a US Citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance 

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel. 

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,900-$141,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
