Job Information:

JOB SUMMARY 

 

Computrition is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our agile organization on our Food Operations Management (FOM) Suite of products. This position will be reporting directly to the QA Manager.  The Manual QA Engineer will review functional requirements and user stories from internal stakeholders; design test plans, write test cases, and perform testing for assigned applications. You should have thorough workflow experience to help extend the quality standards on our FOM Team. Our ideal candidate would have extensive FOM workflow experience from utilizing our applications as a customer, training our customers, or supporting/maintaining our customers. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The Core Responsibilities of this position include: 

 

  • Test application upgrades/patches/customizations as specified by requirements  

  • Follow Agile principles which include executing test plans for stories within the current Sprint iteration.   

  • Ensure the application is ready on the predetermined release schedule. 

  • Prepare, maintain, and improve test plans and test cases 

  • Demo tested features to showcase to stakeholders what work has been done and how it will be used 

  • Provide feedback on product performance and user experience 

  • Manage personal priorities and work with minimal supervision and direction  

  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to ensure a smooth and on time delivery of releases 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Food Operations Management experience strongly encouraged 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 

  • Experience with use of Hospitality Suite and/or Computrition Applications strongly recommended 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Critical thinker that can develop creative test approaches to ensure all end user workflows are covered 

  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues, demonstrating logical and analytical thinking to ensure timely problem resolution and minimize project impact 

  • Excellent teamwork skills 

  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment 

  • Forward/innovative thinking 

  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within time constraints 

  • Passionate learner who is always improving their skills
