Job Description

Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Commercialization Card Program Manager to lead the implementation and management of various initiatives within a leading commercial bank to expand their commercial card program.  The individual will lead multiple workstreams, build a governance model, and ensure that the program meets business objectives and customer needs.

The Commercial Card Program Manager will also collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders such as product managers, sales teams, operations teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions and services.

What you’ll do:

  • Define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of the commercial card program and align them with the business strategy and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, schedule, and budget, and track the progress, risks, issues, and dependencies of the program.
  • Establish and manage a governance model and a communication plan for the program, and ensure compliance with the policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the collaboration and communication among the internal and external stakeholders; manage the expectations and escalations of the program.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project teams and ensure the quality and timely delivery of the program deliverables.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and benefits of the program, and report the status, achievements, and lessons learned to the senior management and sponsors.
  • Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement opportunities for the program management process and methodology.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 10-15 years of experience minimum, with relevant program management experience in a commercial bank focused on commercial card programs – ideally in a large money center bank (e.g., Citi, Chase, Bank of America).
  • Exceptional ability to work across functions (Treasury, Commercial, etc.) to drive program success.
  • Familiarity with core commercial card activities including virtual card sales, sales account management, supplier enablement, credit risk underwriting,
  • Familiarity with sales activities around verticals including professional services, manufacturing, healthcare, and education. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex and large-scale programs, involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial card products, services, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2, is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Knowledge of the agile and waterfall methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience in managing programs in the financial services, banking, or payments industry.

Additional Information

This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

The pay range for this role is $60-65 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
