If you’re looking to join a startup culture of operating with principles at a high growth organization, the Finance team is seeking a new Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. We’re an international organization supporting team members across the globe. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with consolidations and intercompany entries, maintaining the general ledger,  supporting audit preparations, and performing other accounting functions as assigned.

This role is a hybrid position that meets once per week at the Redwood City HQ location to foster professional development, improve communications and coordination, and improve processes. 

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:

  • Support the design and implementation of new systematic processes in Netsuite to optimize workflows
  • Perform accounting functions, including, but not limited to recording, reconciling and analyzing G/L account transactions
  • Play an integral part in the month end close process by preparing and maintaining close reconciliation and coordinating timelines with the finance team at large
  • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliations
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of consolidation and elimination entries. Track and report all intercompany activity and FX related impacts for financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, board and capital management purposes
  • Ensure intercompany agreement terms are adhered to and settlements are prepared accurately and timely
  • Support the annual external audit process, including both the readiness and execution, including preparation of supporting audit schedules
  • Manage treasury operations, including coordinating creating/closing bank accounts, preparing cash transactions such as wires, ACHs and transfers, and preparing of bank reconciliations
  • Tackle ad hoc projects as requested (e.g. research and document issues, special projects, lease accounting, software capitalization, etc.)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the company’s accounting policies and procedures as we expand
  • Work closely alongside the Director of Accounting to build and develop critical processes within the accounting department as the company continues to grow.

Are you our next Senior Accountant?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • 3+ years accounting experience; Big 4 and SaaS industry experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to escalate appropriately
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities; must be a self-starter who takes initiative in and takes ownership of completing projects and assignments timely
  • Experience with and an interest in ERPs (NetSuite strongly preferred) and other accounting systems. Able to support report writing, maintenance of accounting systems, and automation/system process improvements.
  • Able to work hybrid in our Redwood City HQ office

Bonus Points:

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Experience with NetSuite, Floqast, and Coupa

The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within SF Bay Area, California is as follows.
