Overview of this position:

As a Robotics Technician, you will work on robot assembly activities with a high level of communication and collaboration with the manufacturing team and mechanical/electrical engineers to develop robots.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute electro-mechanical component assemblies for robotic systems and rovers, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Proficiently implement wire harnessing procedures, adhering to precise wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
  • Conduct basic soldering tasks for harness assembly and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).
  • Participate in meticulous incoming inspections of CNC parts, PCBAs, and related components to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate in the review and enhancement of assembly instructions, contributing to greater operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process through daily Kaizen activities, aiming to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Provide support to various engineering and manufacturing team activities, including evaluation and testing, to ensure the overall success of projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit flexibility and proactivity in task completion, ensuring adaptability to evolving project demands.
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical expertise in electro-mechanical assembly with a strong focus on precision and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring techniques, showcasing a thorough understanding of electrical systems and connections.
  • Skilled in utilizing a PC, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and the Microsoft Office suite to effectively communicate, document, and analyze project-related data.
  • Physical capacity to independently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds,
  • Flexibility to work some weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven aptitude in comprehending, interpreting, and effectively implementing a variety of technical documentation and processes, including but not limited to layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
  • Extensive experience as a technician specializing in electromechanical components, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their intricate workings.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, enabling the precise comprehension and assembly of electromechanical subcomponents with precision and attention to detail.
  • A keen ability to assess assembly quality both in electrical and mechanical knowledge, ensuring the delivery of high-quality end products.
