At Guild, we uphold our Core Values in everything we do.  Our team emphasizes our Core Values in the following ways:
  • Nurture A Learner’s Mindset - using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and development areas
  • Build Shared Success - building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Be an Owner - holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Create Belonging - recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to our company

Guild is hiring an Integrated Communications Director to manage our thought leadership program. In particular, we are looking for someone who can wear the hats of editor, publisher, writer, creative storyteller, project manager, and more. This role is part of the broader Integrated Communications team and will support overall Corporate Communications objectives to elevate the Guild brand by crafting distinct and provocative narratives that drive a Guild publishing vehicle, as well as support media pitches, executive communications, and event content strategy.

As Integrated Communications Director, you will:

  • Drive creative storytelling to deliver outcomes across earned and owned media strategies, including:
    • Write and collaborate on provocative and insightful thought leadership ideas by leveraging internal SMEs, independently reporting and conducting secondary research, and taking a fresh lens to big trends.
    • Identify and edit internal and external writers and write articles independently to create articles and reports.
    • Produce 1 large body of research annually and 1 pulse survey annually, to be published into reports and articles, that support Integrated Communications and Performance Marketing goals in tandem.
    • Manage contractors and/or agencies, with prudent budget oversight.
  • Scale and optimize our owned media, top-of-funnel program, which should simultaneously advance Guild’s independent credibility as a thought partner to business leaders; balance or magnify the stories about Guild in earned media; and support B2B campaign priorities, including:
    • Set the vision and manage the overarching project management to accelerate the growth of Compass, Guild’s thought leadership blog, including coordination of editorial planning, freelancer and agency management, cross-team coordination and deadline management, distribution and publishing cadences, and measurement/optimization strategies and process.
    • Produce ~4 articles per month for Compass, and partner cross-functionally to package those articles and ensure insights are utilized across channels.
    • Produce a monthly newsletter to grow audience and engagement with Compass content.
    • Optimize the UX, content strategy, and SEO of Compass to improve awareness and on-site engagement.

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • Experience managing the publishing, editorial, and project management elements of an owned media program independently with limited support.
  • Experience as a newsroom leader, and/or reporter and editor.
  • Proven experience growing audience with digital publishing.
  • Experience working on an in-house content marketing or communications team.

Preferred Competencies

  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics 360
  • Experience writing, editing, and publishing thought leadership content for businesses targeting B2B audiences in the HR, Human Capital Management, Education Benefits, and/or Learning and Development space.

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $150,000-$172,500 and variable compensation eligibility  as well as company stock options
