The AX Systems Administrator plays an essential role in maintaining operational excellence, critical thinking and problem solving daily tech challenges. The AX Systems Administrator brings a strong understanding of Microsoft core infrastructure, experience with Enterprise Change Process and Change Control.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Systems & Innovation, the AX Systems Administrator undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 administration & day to day system support
  • Manage Microsoft ERP code deployment
  • Support day to day Enterprise Application(s) including Terminal Server / Citrix client access
  • Administration and maintenance of systems, servers and environment in a multi-site network infrastructure 
  • Management of AX environment backups and backup policy
  • Ensure incident response and management protocols and processes are consistently followed
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring business impacting incidents
  • Maintain server infrastructure to support business requirements and established service levels
  • Work with vendors, partners and other technical resources to resolve system bugs
  • Install hotfixes and cumulative updates, as required
  • Monitor network devices performance, analyze data flow and make recommendations as needed
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans and solutions are in place and kept up-to-date
  • Provide a system administration function for application servers
  • Perform preventative/proactive application and systems maintenance
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice administration and support key assigned corporate IT infrastructure areas

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 5+ years of Applications Administration (minimum of 3 years in AX Administration)
  • Post-secondary education required or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Strong understanding of High Availability environments, System Security and Disaster Recovery
  • Experience in implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting application environments
  • Working Knowledge of Dynamics AX Architecture and layers
  • Knowledge of promoting development objects during build and test activities using XPO's, models and model stores and deploying/Copying new AX environments
  • Knowledge of implementing/administration various AX ISV Solutions
  • Proficient in following modules – Financial Management, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Multi-Site and International, Sales and Marketing, Logistics
  • Strong organizational, writing, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and committed to a high degree of accuracy
  • Possess excellent time and project management skills
  • Creativity and demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and effectively multi-task

Preferred:

  • Experience working with cloud technologies (Office 365, Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)
  • Programming knowledge/scripting experience for automation (Python/PowerShell)
  • Familiar with agile system administration methodologies
  • Certifications in ITIL, MCSA, CCA, VCP
  • Experience working in a manufacturing and/or retail business

Base salary range is determined based on Vancouver market assessment. May vary depending on location of the successful candidate
