The opportunity:

As a QA Architect you will oversee the software testing strategy and execution for Harvard Business Publishing, working with software architects, QA Leads and a cross-functional team. This position reports to the Director of QA.

What you’ll do:

  • Design a complete test strategy for complex and high-visibility products, working closely with Developers to understand the technology, application architecture and integration with third-part software

  • Design and execute the overall strategy, tools and technologies selection for the product test automation with a focus on stability and optimization of resources.

  • Lead a team of contractors from Service Providers in different time zones and partner closely with Agile teams.

  • Develop process documentation and measurement strategy for continuous improvement.

  • Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team with proposed solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and support in designing and implementing CI/CD. Create quality gates in the overall CI/CD strategy

  • Maintain test framework, code re-factoring and performance of test runs

  • Run parallel test to reduce run time

  • Collaborate with Developers to implement release strategies such as canary release and feature toggling

What you’ll bring:

  • Degree on Computer science or other engineering discipline, or relevant experience

  • 7+ years as QA Automation Engineer or Developer

  • Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks

  • Experience in designing test strategy for complex software

  • Strong Experience in Functional, Regression, End to End testing, manual and automated.

  • Experience in unit, integration, component, Load, Performance, Security and accessibility testing

  • Testing multi-layer Web applications and database

$120,000 - $130,000

Above is the annualized pay range for this position. In addition, this position includes the opportunity to earn our annual Performance Based Variable Pay Program. Actual salary will be set based upon a range of factors, including external benchmark market data, individual knowledge, skills, experience, location and internal equity.
