SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will provide general contractor support services to assist the client leadership in operational support, meeting support, business strategies, program/project management/planning, program briefings, administrative support, and other administrative actions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains calendars/appointments; Files and organizes correspondence and other records; Photocopies and/or scans documents using a computer.
Creates and edits documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Coordinates travel, transportation, and accommodation arrangements and creates travel authorizations for the government leadership.
Works independently with minimal direction and interacting professionally with high-ranking government officials.
Facilitates the tasking and clearance process for the government, which includes receiving taskings from components; tasking to component offices, coordinating unified, thorough responses amongst components; performing quality review of all tasking responses; and preparing clearance packages for
executive-level review.
Coordinates readaheads for executive-level meetings, to include quality review of readaheads for tone, format, and consistency.
Develops decks, communications, briefing memos, and other written materials, as needed to support executive messaging and preparedness.
Completes short- and long-term administrative projects as assigned by the government.
Analyzes and develops standard operating procedures for government processes.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
Ability to schedule, plan and lead meetings.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit.
