SUMMARY
The Acquisitions Business Analyst I will support a federal client in Washington, DC area with the development of pre-award and post-award documents and IT Acquisitions processes.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have government acquisitions experience.
Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides procurement support for all phases of procurement from acquisition planning to contract closeout.
Leads working sessions with requirements owners and government acquisitions stakeholders.
Prepares basic (under $10M) labor and hardware/software acquisition pre-award and contract documentation.
Conducts market research, including recommendations for procurement strategy to include.
Provides occasional post-award support to procurement and/or contract management staff, including:
Contracts financial tracking
Contracts management and tracking
Documents management and quality control
Develops decks, standard operating procedures or other documentation of IT acquisitions processes.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Some knowledge of IT services, supplies, network & capability procurements.
Knowledge of relevant Federal guidelines and regulations pertaining to FAR
Attention to detail and ability to produce reports and presentations in final copy.
Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
