Our Department: Owner and Public Sector, International

Join our team as a Professional Services Consultant, and step into the exciting world of crafting cutting-edge technology solutions through dynamic consulting projects! This role will deliver software solutions to government and other infrastructure owners to assist with the asset life-cycle management goals.  You will be helping them understand what they own, what condition it is in, and how/when to fix it to balance cost and condition. Enabling transportation and other infrastructure teams to complete projects throughout design, construction, operations, maintenance life-cycle.

What You Will Do

You'll be the driving force behind every project, from identifying clients to sealing the deal with final invoicing. Your role is a thrilling blend of interpersonal finesse and technical wizardry. Dive into complex technical challenges, from identifying problems to defining system architectures, specifying hardware/software, overseeing implementation, rigorous testing, and ensuring seamless client training and solution deployment. Your expertise will shape the future of technology solutions.

  • Work directly with clients to manage initial access, map and transfer data and creation of process documentation

  • Design and implement client requirements within the existing Trimble software platform

  • Work within Agile teams to deliver the services to the clients

  • Work with other teams like product development, project management, and IT Operations to keep the systems and clients up to date

  • Prepare training agendas from release documentation, field service requirements or software documentation; ensuring that course material reflects current product features and customer requirements

  • Strive to retain existing clients and ensure the maximum longevity of their relationship with Trimble through proactive contact, excellent service delivery and appropriate relationship development

  • Work in close partnership with clients to determine their key requirements, collaboration objectives, and communicate these requirements back to key business functions

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT or Engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Professional Services Consulting role

  • Good presentation skills, training skills, client-management skills, relationship-building skills, requirements gathering experience, and negotiating skills

  • Experience and understanding working with databases such as Oracle and Postgres

  • Experience working with geospatial tools such as Esri

  • Excellent problem solving, risk mitigation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong initiative, customer-service orientation and commitment to ensuring timely, quality solutions to customer issues.

  • Preference for clients with experience working with transportation / infrastructure asset solutions.

About Your Location

The team you will be working with operates on a remote first principle. With a diverse range of clients / locations we are looking for staff who can operate and manage their time/effectiveness from a remote setting. The team is based in a range of locations and time zones, primarily within Europe.

Travel to visit Trimble facilities, client offices, or other meeting locations may be required for up to 20% of the time. 

Internal communication will be conducted in English as a common language.  Due to the nature of our clients, preference will be given to candidates who can communicate in Norwegian and/or French.
