Partner with the best

As Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing any technical/quality aspect related to Suppliers. All activities have a tight relationship with other functions, i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers. Your main goal is to continuously improve the Suppliers Quality level, reducing both escaping defects and associated Cost of Quality, while growing and developing the supply base as per business needs.

As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Qualifying Suppliers
  • Carrying out periodic audits to verify compliance with qualification requirements
  • Executing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define Corrective Actions (CA) in case of escaping defects to avoid reoccurrence
  • Stimulating a Quality driven and Continuous Improvement mentality in supplier’s organization, with mutually trustful and proficient relationships
  • Managing effective communication with internal Baker Hughes team (for example Engineering, Procurement Buyers, Procurement Fulfillment Managers, Project Managers, Project Quality Managers, Project Engineers, etc.)
  • Managing on the job inspections according to the Quality Control Plans 
  • Managing Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR)
  • Managing Supplier’s related Non-Conformity Records (NCR)

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Have professional experience and/or technical knowledge in manufacturing of electrical equipment
  • Have proven experience in acting and driving corrective action with suppliers
  • Have structured data driven mindset
  • Have intellectual rigor-accuracy
  • Have effective problem-solving abilities
  • Have the attitude to set aggressive targets and challenge status quo
  • Be able to communicate both internally with different functions and externally with suppliers
  • Be fluent in English and Italian
  • Be able to travel (up to 30%) domestic and internationally
  • Have EU Work Permit
