Role Summary:  

DTN is seeking an experienced Grain Logistics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ideating, validating, developing, and implementing new innovative solutions for our customers that increase efficiency and reduce costs in the grain supply chain focusing primarily on logistics. The role will focus primarily on trade of corn, soybeans and wheat. 

Who you are: 

  • You’re experienced in or fully understand the role of a Grain Logistics Manager in the agriculture industry. 

You have experience in: 

  • Developing and implementing logistics strategies (both procurement side and delivery side) to optimize the flow of grain – across road, rail and marine shipping to ensure timely and profit-maximizing delivery of grain. 

  • Creating and executing grain supply-logistics arbitrage strategies 

  • Interpreting key grain trade reports, such as the WASDE, and trade and logistics data services.  

  • Managing and coordinating the entire order cycle 

  • Overseeing inventory control and management practices to reduce losses and maximize the use of warehouse space 

  • Overseeing logistics strategy to ensure timely and profit-optimizing delivery of goods 

  • Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements related to logistics and transportation 

  • Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams 

  • Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements in logistics operations 

  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to identify trends and root causes of issues. 

  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams. 

  • You have professional certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). 

 

What you’ll do:  

  • Ideate, evangelize, validate, develop, and implement new innovative DTN supply chain optimization solutions in close cooperation with prospects, customers, and partners. 

  • Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to develop product & solution targets, go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and drive product adoption. 

  • Collaborate with clients to evaluate and identify unique supply chain opportunities and develop solutions based on DTN and partner products. 

  • Evangelize Solutions and Products to sales prospects as part of our commercial team 

  • Provide training and education to our commercial team, product team, and clients on best practices and new innovations 

  • Work closely with deployment teams to ensure solution requirements are met and products/features are delivered to customer expectations.  

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, influencers and partners.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $119,000 and $161,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
