The Sr. UX/UI Designer in Clinical Platform (with a focus on RBQM, Central Monitoring, and Oversight) will be a part of a specialized area of the business responsible for defining and upholding consumer-grade UX/UI standards for our clinical research products. This role entails crafting and executing a cohesive UX/UI design strategy that reflects Fortrea's vision and objectives, while also championing industry best practices and encouraging innovation within and between teams. Success in this position guarantees uniform design and user experience across all products within the Clinical Platforms organization.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement and maintain a comprehensive UX/UI design strategy and standard for products in the Clinical Platforms organization and in line with Fortrea’s vision and objectives.
  • Oversee design projects from conception to implementation, managing timelines, resources and budgets.
  • Conduct and facilitate usability tests, user research and feedback sessions to better understand their needs and interactions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders such as product managers, engineers and testers to drive the user experience design.
  • Evaluate design outcomes, interpret user feedback and make necessary changes to improve the user experience.
  • Promote adherence to industry best practices for UX/UI design, encourage innovation and creativity.
  • Upskill the team and remain updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in design technology.
  • And all other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Experience with design tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite, InVision, etc.) and front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Knowledge or experience with product management.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design and usability principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience (Minimum Required):  

  • 5+ years of experience in a role focusing on design strategy, user research, or conceptualizing and implementing design solutions.
  • Previous leadership or management experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with creating and working on designs that prioritize and enhance overall user experience.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a role focusing on design strategy, user research, or conceptualizing and implementing design solutions.
  • Certifications in user experience design, interaction design or project management.
  • Experience in a CRO or healthcare-related industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $100,000-$135,000 base annual salary

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Company bonus where applicable.
