Get to Know the Opportunity:

Voya is seeking a Director of Reinsurance Administration to join the Reinsurance Finance team.  The Director will lead reinsurance administration team for Voya Health Solutions business.

The Contributions You'll Make:

• Manage Health Solutions reinsurance process.  Supervise offshore and onshore team members.
• Participate on onboarding new reinsurance treaties including, but not limited to reviewing draft agreement, create mockup settlement file and financials for the agreement, work with internal business teams to operationalize the agreement, setup new agreement in the system, etc.
• Review, validate, and analyze reinsurance settlements on behalf of Voya Financial for all existing reinsurance treaties.
• Contributes to financial close cycles, including analyzing results, reviewing, and approving journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage relationship with reinsurers.
• Involve in implementation of system solution of Health Solutions reinsurance settlement and reporting.
• Organize and manage projects to completion. Lead implementation of process improvements.
• Establish, modify, document, and implement accounting methods and control procedures.
• Manage internal and external audits.
• Delivers succinct and clear summarizations of analysis and presentations tailored to the needs of different customers.
• Able to manage multiple, often competing priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 10-15 years accounting and/or finance experience; prefer group insurance and reinsurance experience and knowledge
• Direct managerial experience of a team that consists of offshore and onshore resources
• Good understanding of accounting principles and income statements
• Experience with internal and external audit and administration of Sarbanes Oxley compliance process

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with Oracle, Workday, and Smart View
• Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively and clearly communicate and influence others including senior leadership
• A self-starter, self-motivated, self-disciplined and performance driven
• Proficiency in software applications, primarily Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
