About Drexel

Drexel is one of Philadelphia's top 10 private employers, a comprehensive global research university and a major engine for economic development in the region. With over 24,000 students, Drexel is one of America's 15 largest private universities. Drexel has committed to being the nation’s most civically engaged university, with community partnerships integrated into every aspect of service and academics.

About The Thomas R. Kline School Of Law

Founded in 2006, the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University offers an ABA-accredited Juris Doctor (J.D.) program, together with other graduate programs in law. This position will teach in Kline’s nationally - recognized online Master of Legal Studies program and companion Certificate and specialized LL.M program.

The Kline School of Law at Drexel University seeks to pioneer a new and interdisciplinary approach to education in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging by grounding theory in legal knowledge and practical compliance instruction. DEIB initiatives are vital to organizations of all kinds, however, these programs now face significant disruption from proposed legislation or litigation. To meet these challenges, effective leaders in diversity and inclusion will need to understand broad legal concepts in addition to the historical, social, and psychological contexts that inform s bias, discrimination, and divergent outcomes. As institutional diversity and inclusion practices increasingly become a source of litigation risk, employers will seek DEIB leaders with legal knowledge and compliance skills to provide strategic guidance regarding the complex interactions between institutional commitment to inclusion and belonging in the emerging regulatory environment.
