National Literacy Consultant

Job Overview:

The National Literacy Consultant will join the Educational Partnerships team as a Lexia solutions and product expert, helping districts work through literacy PK-12 challenges by following the Science of Reading. In this role you will create and deliver customized and engaging presentations to customers based on Lexia’s solutions alongside the sales professional.

This team member will operate with a skilled grasp of Lexia’s entire portfolio, including design history, adaptive blended learning, professional learning, efficacy, and research findings, to support the efforts of Lexia’s sales professionals to drive business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research and stay abreast of regional, state, and district education trends, legislation, and strategic plans.

• Take part in regional sales meetings to anticipate support needs.

• Support Charter and school districts with student enrollment of 10,000 or less with product expertise in a consultative role and in joint conversations and localized product presentations with district leaders.

• Facilitate conversations at the mid-funnel stage of the customer journey including the needs analysis, presenting, evaluation and preliminary planning phases.

• Make connections between Lexia’s student and professional learning products to demonstrate comprehensive K-12 solution for districts.

• Identify and articulate unique customer needs and align our solutions to those needs.

• Work collaboratively to identify and inform content for RFP/IMR samplers and collateral.

• Represent Lexia at conferences and partner events.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Education.

• 7+ years PK-12, including 3+ years in a district-wide literacy position or a leadership role in a Charter Management Organization (CMO/EMO).

• A solid understanding of the best practices of Science of Reading in education and conversant in all areas of literacy.

• Lexia portfolio knowledge is preferred, with the ability to make connections among all solutions.

• Exceptional level of communication skills, including public speaking/presenting, writing, and presentation preparation.

• High degree of comfort presenting remotely in Zoom, Teams, Webex, and alternate virtual platforms.

• Ability to listen to customers’ needs to improve product positioning.

• Capacity to adapt and adjust presentations to meet the needs of the customer.

• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a remote capacity with cross functional team members.

• Capacity for domestic travel (30-40%).
