Innovation Analyst

Key Role:

Perform detailed engineering analysis of client's energy resilience gaps and presents solutions. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with innovation and data analysis

• 2+ years of experience with Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Service staff, or Joint Staff

• Experience supporting review and assessment of Department-wide research, development, testing, and evaluation initiatives and investments supporting improvements in the generation, distribution, storage, and use of operational energy

• Knowledge of the OSD's full portfolio of installation or operational energy program

• Ability to provide engineering and technical feedback on proposed operational energy technologies and innovations, such designs, propulsion, small modular reactors, energy storage, or alternative fuels

• Ability to assess operational energy benefits of programs that reduce demand, diversify energy sources, increase supply chain resilience, and improve enterprise-wide awareness of energy

• Ability to support coordination with and expert review of proposals seeking funding, and support the development and coordination of reports and testimony for Congress associated with operational energy innovation

• Ability to prepare written products, quantitative approaches, organize and execute effective working groups to ensure coordination across DoD components, and provide coordinated, accurate, and timely support for operational energy initiatives and leadership

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree
