Exercise Support and Assessment Analyst, Senior
Key Role:
Work as a detail-oriented self-starter in a fast-paced environment without considerable direction and take the initiative to develop, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Provide on-site exercise planning support as a defense mission expert responsible for the development, execution, and analysis of the Joint and Service-level Exercise Programs. Support the improvement of training to enhance readiness through the Joint Exercise Life Cycle phases. Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of the methodology and framework to conduct analysis, develop planning recommendations, and overall findings for senior leadership. Perform analysis, surveys, interviews, and validation, and develop documentation to be used in the overall assessment framework. Generate planning and coordination in support of Senior Leadership Seminars (SLS) and academics sessions prior to the start of exercises, prepare briefs, and assist with making recommendations for emplacement that best prepares the client for After Action Reviews (AARs).
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in operations and planning with the US Armed Services, including Joint assignments
5+ years of experience in the US INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR)
2+ years of experience in working with US military operations and Combatant Command staff, and Joint or combined exercise planning and execution
Experience with U.S. military assessment processes and techniques, tactics, and procedures
Knowledge of the exercise Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes, Joint doctrine, Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), and Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL)
Ability to be available for periodic temporary duty and international TDY travel
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with Indo-Pacific Studies or the regional plans problem set
Experience with writing and coordinating executive-level products for General and Flag Officers
Experience with working individually and as part of a team to develop collaborative solutions to shared problems
Experience with facilitating working groups and meetings with diverse organizations
Knowledge of project management processes, ensuring on-time delivery of complex deliverables, including plans of action and milestones (POA&M)
Ability to work independently and produce client-ready written products with little or no direction in a fast-paced environment
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Master's degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, Security Studies, Political Science, or Indo-Pacific Affairs
Graduate of JPME Phase I

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
