Job Description:
Lead Software Engineer positions offered by CCI Corporate Services, LLC (Atlanta, GA). Configure, analyze, design, develop, and maintain program code and applications to support the data, phone, security and video provisioning applications of Cox Communications for both residential and commercial subscribers while leading other developers. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs under the SAFe Agile methodology guidelines and specifications. Complete technical development tasks pertaining to the provisioning applications per approved projects and allocated budgets. Design and implement core frameworks and train other developers on its usage and implementation. Interface extensively with functional users and testers to confirm the applicability of design alternatives, identify and recommend cost effective options and address user concerns. Interface with all critical integration points to ensure applications are integrating successfully and efficiently with all requested applications. Assist with overnight on-call development/operations duties such as application installations and deployments into a production environment. Mentor and lead mid-level and junior developers in application development cycle. Conduct necessary internal design and code reviews, system testing, and load testing to ensure the application is of high quality when released to Quality Assurance for the testing phase of the project. Manage all necessary migration of software code to and from the respective environments - development, quality assurance, and training. Interface with database administrators to ensure database access and updating is done efficiently. Conduct frequent security reviews of developed applications and mitigate all flaws/vulnerabilities at the application and platform layers. Serve as an expert to other application developers in the field of JAVA/Spring Boot/jBPM/Drools/Flux development.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience performing database schema design and SQL tuning. Also requires 6 years of experience: developing an enterprise application in a high availability clustered environment; developing against a Full EE container (Jboss, Weblogic, GlassFish, or WebSphere); developing with SOAP and REST webservice; developing on-demand efficient batch jobs (executable Jars, PL/SQL, or shell scripts); performing debugging, application proofing, or performance tuning; utilizing the following technologies and tools: JDBC, ANT, Maven, OOAD, Eclipse, JavaDocs, Junit, and GIT Source Control Management; working with JBPM, Spring Boot and Drools business rules engine; utilizing Java EE, including Container-Managed Resources, Datasources, SOAP/RESTful Web Services, EJBs, MDBs and JMS; utilizing Broadsoft Telephony switch provisioning; working with Flux workflow engine and its corresponding Flux console; utilizing Tomcat application web servers, HornetQ and Active MQ messaging systems, and ORM technologies; working in a SAFe Agile methodology environment while utilizing Kubernetes or implementing wrappers (Openshift, Rancher, or Google Anthos). In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated. Position reports to office in Atlanta, GA. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Compensation includes a base salary of $144,057 - $187,005. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
