Your Mission

Blizzard Entertainment is currently looking for an experienced, creative, and artistically dedicated User Interface (UI) Artist for World of Warcraft!

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead UX Designer, Art Director, and UX Designers to conceptualize the visual style and interactive experience for World of Warcraft and any related projects.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this position is Irvine, CA

Position Responsibilities:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Work closely with the UX Design Lead and Art Director to conceptualize the overall UI esthetic while maintaining an intuitive user experience.
• Create a unique, and engaging visual identity that supports and reinforces gameplay.
• Create and implement a large array of UI components which includes maps, icons, HUD, menus, basic effects, and animations.
• Apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the entire project interface.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers in the implementation of UI components.
• Actively maintain file and resource organization.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience working as a UI artist in a digital field.
• Strong art skills to 2D render and paint various types of materials and surfaces.
• Ability to work in the painterly style of World of Warcraft.
• Able to understand technical implementations and limitations.
• Good communication skills and a positive team-player attitude
