Digital Marketing Strategist

The Digital Marketing Acquisition Strategist will aim to drive high value, efficient leads & sales through paid marketing channels, including (but not limited to) Paid Search, Lead Aggregation and Affiliate Partners, and direct-response display.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience executing digital campaigns including campaign creation, budget delivery, and optimizations that help exceed marketing objectives.  Candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital ad landscape, from creative, audience targeting capabilities, bid strategies, optimization best practices, landing pages, content management, and how digital ads are tracked and measured online and offline.  This person will also have experience with testing methodologies for paid media advertising and Landing Page optimization.  Should be proficient in analyzing campaign performance against KPIs, and 3P insights to put together effective strategies & execution plans.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly lead and sales goals.

  • Manage, optimize, and grow campaigns across paid search and other lead generation tactics.

  • Leverage all optimization levers that will help ensure success.  Including keyword & match type selection, audiences, ad assets, campaign types, bidding strategies…etc

  • Analyze campaign, analytics, and offline performance data to uncover actionable insights.

  • Proactively identify new & innovative lead generation opportunities, products or betas

  • Work closely with media planning team to accurately forecast budgets, leads, and sales by market that will help yield the best results.

  • Work with other channel managers to help identify optimal cross-channel strategies.

  • Manage & execute test & iteration roadmaps for paid media campaigns and landing page optimization.

  • Measure, monitor & track all marketing KPIs. Ensure channel benchmarks are being met or exceeded.  Use insights to identify areas for growth or improvement and present recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Work with ad ops & technical teams to ensure proper tracking & measurement across all marketing channels. Includes implementation of floodlights, vendor pixels, campaign click trackers, 1x1s, and offline phone numbers.

  • Collaborate with internal teams on key projects including media planning, creative, product, sales, big data, E-business, analytics, content, and market research.

  • Handle administrative functions related to compliance, billing and legal (when applicable)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional taskforces to share best practices and improve strategies & processes that can benefit other lines of business.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Strong consideration for people with degrees in Information Systems or Marketing

  • 3-5 years managing digital marketing campaigns, preferably “hands-on” experience making changes within Digital Ads UIs.  

  • Direct experience with managing Paid Search campaigns

  • Strong consideration for candidates with experience managing SEO, lead aggregation and affiliate programs, and direct response display

  • Experience with landing page optimization & content management systems

  • Strong understanding of digital ad ecosystem including online & offline tracking and measurement

  • Experience managing and executing marketing budgets for paid media channels.

  • Effective communicator - Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear & understandable way.

  • Able to present to different audiences including executive leadership.

  • Can perform competitive analysis and develop strategic plans.

  • Can lead & manage relationships with outside vendors and agencies.

  • Prior knowledge or experience working within the insurance space, or supporting insurance advertisers is a plus.

  • Proficient with MS Office, Google docs, and Sharepoint.  Able to create clear & effective presentations and proficient with Spreadsheets (formulas, macros, and other automation capabilities are a plus)

  • Ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects, and effective at setting clear expectations around timelines & deliverables to senior leadership.

  • Proactive, self-starter and critical thinker

 

*Note: This is a hybrid position: In-office Monday – Wednesday, work-from-home Thursday-Friday

The starting pay range for this position is:

$94,900.00 - $126,500.00

Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
