The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is in the midst of a wholescale transformation effort aimed at delivering a force that is ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. DAF is transforming elements of all phases of its human resource management (HRM) life cycle to meet their people demands. 

 

ManTech will ensure that the DAF’s business processes and supporting information technology platforms fully empower DAF personnel and Guardians to maximize their abilities. Your work on the DTD team will help transform data and enterprise architectures, consolidate and modernize platforms, and integrate AI into human capital business processes. 

 

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer- Data Migrations to join our team. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • The Technical Writer creates and/or edits technical documents, including reports, user manuals, briefings and presentations, functional descriptions, system specifications, guidelines, and special reports related to data solutions implementation  

  • Performs document edits with tracking updates/changes consistent with client messaging prior to external dissemination  

  • Establishes a repository for storing artifacts and deliverables  

  • Composes, designs, writes and distributes strategic communication  

  • Drafts and reviews technical documents including standard operating procedures (SOPs), authorization documents, user guides and manuals, plans, and action reports  

  • Advocates for changes in policy that support organizational data governance initiatives or required changes/enhancements  

  • Develops and maintain data strategy plans, procedures, and policies to support and align with organizational data solutions initiatives and regulatory compliance  

  • Assess’ policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern Data strategies  

  • Reviews existing and proposed policies and procedures with stakeholders  

  • Develops standardized templates for all written materials  

  • Performs other project management support necessary for ensuring successful documentation and communication regarding projects  

  • Develops outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and project management ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and regulations  

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business 

  • 5+ years of experience with data governance  

  • 4+ years of experience with data governance policy analysis  

  • 2+ years of experience in data governance policy development  

  • 2+ years of experience in processing business requirements  

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must be a US Citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time with occasional travel. 

 

The projected compensation range for this position is $76,400-$127,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
