As the PerformYard VP of Finance, you will be the key driver in financial planning and analysis, oversight of the month-end reporting process and building rigor around our financial practices. You will be a strategic partner to the founders and leadership team, leveraging your experience to drive business decisions and operational efficiency as we continue to scale. A successful candidate will have a proven track record and experience overseeing finance, legal, operations, and strategy functions ideally in a $20M - $50M+ technology-focused organization.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process in collaboration with the executive and finance team
  • Own the Forecasting and Planning (FP&A) process internally for CEO and investors
  • Support board relations, including communication, quarterly meeting prep and investor updates
  • Establish budget and operating benchmarks to assist in the preparation of forecasts
  • Prepare key metrics, scenario modeling and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning
  • Provide management of all vendor, customer, and contracts in the organization 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
  • Implement best practices and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and regulations
  • Support business and sales team in all legal and financial negotiations
  • Oversee compensation and payroll process including commission/incentive planning
  • Work closely with external auditors and CPA to complete tax filings
  • Oversee compliance for tax, insurance, legal, and other operational areas
  • Coach, train, and mentor the finance team to achieve their career aspirations while maintaining high performance and retention 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or advanced credentials in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in leading finance, accounting and FP&A functions at a high-growth scaling businesses
  • Experience managing diligence processes for M&A activities
  • An understanding of key SaaS metrics and pro forma modeling
  • Strong financial modeling competence, along with an understanding of financial reporting and cash management
  • Presentation skills to support planning cycles and leadership meetings
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
