Who You Are

We’re looking for a humble, hungry, and smart candidate to join our team. This person is a self-starter, is confident in what they do, and is excited to push the envelope. This role will provide paid media creative video edits to our clients in support of our Creative team. You are someone who: 

  • Demonstrates a strong portfolio of performance video creative for paid media channels.
  • Has a proven track record of meticulously managing project timelines, ensuring that deliverables are completed promptly and meet quality standards.
  • Is technically skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, etc.), and/or other relevant editing software.
  • Possesses a strong creative vision and the ability to generate innovative editing solutions with briefing from a creative strategist that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Maintains excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients as needed.
  • Quickly adapts to changing project requirements and priorities, efficiently managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

As a Freelance Video Editor at Single Grain, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, compelling paid media ad creatives, including static images and GIFs, for a diverse range of clients across multiple industries. These creative projects and the project rate will be agreed upon between yourself and a creative strategist before work begins on that project. You will work closely with a strategist to ensure that all edits align with the client's brand and marketing objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Editing Prerecorded Video Content: Use client assets and a brief from a strategist to create engaging and visually appealing ad creatives that meet client specifications and industry best practices for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn. 
  • Collaborating with Creative Strategists: Understand project briefs provided by our creative strategists and translate them into innovative edits that captivate target audiences.
  • Delivering on Time: Ensure that all edits are delivered on schedule, maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Revisions and Feedback: Be open to feedback and make quick revisions to meet client expectations and achieve optimal ad performance.
  • Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the latest editing trends, tools, and technologies to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of your work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in video editing, with a focus on creating paid media ad creatives.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to create compelling ad creatives across different formats and platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or other relevant editing tools and the ability for basic 2D motion animation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, juggle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
