We’re actively seeking a talented Contract Specialist WBD to join our Workforce Benefits division. This role can be fully remote or hybrid and based in Newport Beach, CA, or Omaha, NE.

As a Sr Contract Specialist WBD, you’ll play a key role in building processes to support the generation of policy and contract documents based on employer’s product configuration while delivering a first-class friction free experience to our employers in the Workforce Benefits division.

How you will make an impact:

  • Administer the issuing of policies and certificates in alignment with our established processes and procedures for our policies and contracts aligned with our compliance standards for our Employer customers.

  • Responsible for working with brokers, employers, account specialists, and other internal stakeholders (like Underwriting, Legal, Onboarding, and Compliance) on creating new as well as amending existing policies and contracts for our employer clients.

  • Understands or consults with operations partners when necessary to offers innovative solutions to ensure our policies and contracts are aligned with our friction free business model while being creative in meeting employer’s product and administrative needs.

  • Identify and recommend solutions to increase automation results and suggest areas to build straight-through processing

  • Works with Contract Consultant on complex contract requests to partner with Underwriting, Legal and Compliance to review single case filing or special wording requests.

  • Research complex contract related questions and provides answers and solutions to employer, brokers and internal business partners.

  • Works within departmental as well as internal controls and compliance regulations for all aspects of the role as well as the legal requirements for our binding agreements with employers.

  • Helps onboard new team members and mentor them through the learning journey.

  • Maintains up to date knowledge of industry and compliance regulations to ensure updated processes and procedures align with the ever-changing environment.

  • Expert knowledge of our product offering, system(s), and processes as well as understand how data flows throughout the employer and employee journeys.

  • Participates and contributes to team meetings or special tasks and assignments and brings innovative ideas and a continuous improvement mindset to the department.

  • Job performance must meet department standards for work prioritization, productivity, quality and timeliness.

  • Identifies, understands and ensures that actions, behaviors and decisions are consistent with the department, division and Pacific Life Mission & Vision.

The experience you will bring:

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 1-3 years of financial services, product compliance or group benefits operations experience

  • Needs to be an effective communicator with externally facing presence.

  • Customer-centric with problem-solving skillset

  • Detail Oriented

  • Requires strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

  • Intermediate skills with MS office application

  • Will need to gain expert knowledge of Pacific Life’s Workforce

  • Benefits platforms such as policy admin, SalesForce, and workflow tools.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$27.31 - $33.37
