The Mgr - Marketing Insights is accountable for informing the marketing function to help GEHA meet or exceed growth goals by employing best practices to transform campaign and marketing metrics into information and intelligence in two primary areas: 1 - dashboard reporting and insights with primary focus on campaign performance. 2 – consumer / customer insights, and market trends.

The successful candidate will possess a robust background and extensive experience in the marketing Subject Matter Expert domain with the keen ability to sit between the business and functional partners to lead campaign metrics / marketing data manipulation, dashboard reporting, and assessing the performance of large-scale growth, acquisition, and retention initiatives. This position requires an experienced performance marketing specialist that thrives on providing tools, insights, and market intelligence to participate in empirically driven decisions to drive marketing success. The candidate should have experience working with cross-functional teams of internal resources and external vendor partners to lead, provide feedback, and evaluate development of propensity models, segmentation, BI tools, dashboard design, results interpretation, and management of internal and external team members. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate and present findings to all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Own Growth and Marketing Reporting & Insights roadmap. Assess current state of infrastructure, tools, and resources. Identify immediate and long-term opportunities to embed data-driven decision making and insight development into the Targeting & Insights function.

  • Lead Growth team and external vendors through the implementation of key targeting and insights initiatives.

  • Manage metadata function that drives effective campaign reporting.

  • Partner with cross-functional Analytics and Information Technology teams to share key data, incorporate analytic tools (ex. propensity models, segmentation) into dashboard development.

  • Lead vendor database reporting team through development and production of key dashboards and help inform campaign targeting through results assessment.

  • Assist in launching commercial campaign and performance database to help inform the data, tools, and attribution methodology required for best-in-class targeting, segmentation, reporting, and insights.

  • Identification and assessment of new data sources that can improve targeting and insights feeding marketing initiatives.

  • Identification and assessment of market expansion data sources that identify GEHA’s Total Addressable Market (TAM) both in aggregate and trigger sources.

  • Provide test design, insights, and intelligence on multi-channel market testing, product performance, target market identification, cohort hypotheses, media mix optimization, and other growth use cases.

  • Lead and develop team of business analysts, partnering with commercial business partners to address business questions and business needs with data and insights.

  • Develop key commercial insights to enable segment/product/market/geo-analytical specific campaign reporting.

  • Research, evaluate, implement, and report on success of tested marketing tools including response, retention, and segmentation models.

  • Lead campaign reporting function to ensure full-funnel visibility, and optimization opportunities for acquisition, retention, and engagement campaigns.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Marketing Research, or similar. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

  • 6+ years marketing accountability/ownership of data analysis and reporting experience in direct response and omni-channel marketing environment, that includes 3+ years of people management and/or vendor management experience.

  • Experience in leading marketing/growth acquisition programing, including cross-functional efforts to develop/deploy propensity modeling environment as a marketing client / owner and/or data scientist or related field;

  • Proven record of ability to transform raw data into relevant insights and ability to articulate (verbally and in writing) to inform and improve campaign performance.

  • Health Insurance data insights expertise, or proven record of ability to learn a new industry quickly.

  • Firsthand experience with analytic-focused programing languages such as R, SQL, Python, and SAS.

  • Firsthand experience with popular BI tools with Power BI being the preference.

  • Strong comfort level collaborating with developers, engineers, and other technical roles with ability to assign, prioritize, and review deliverables.

  • Purposeful with keen sense of urgency to deliver results.

  • Focus on outcomes and process – attention on delivering relevant results that can be realistically implemented.

  • Strong written and verbal communication across marketing, technology, and business subject areas.

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare data privacy best practices or proven ability to adapt to the compliance environment of a new industry.

Work-at-home requirements

  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
  • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.  GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $103,335 - $145,665 USD.
