Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director, Indirect Sourcing to join the Global Operations team. The Global Operations team will oversee and lead the implementation of manufacturing, distribution logistics, sourcing, and supply chain activities.  We will build, create, and enhance end-to-end operation strategies, processes, analytics, technology, and continuous improvement efforts. In this position, you will support the strategic management and optimization of our company’s indirect procurement activities around professional services, temporary labor, travel, MRO, packaging, IT/Telecom, faculties and utilities.  You will oversee the procurement of all goods and services that are not directly incorporated into Revelyt’s products or services.  This role is critical in ensuring that these purchases contribute to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the organization.   

This position reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and allows you the opportunity to work remotely. 

As the Director of Indirect Sourcing, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, supplier negotiation, and risk management in the supply chain. 

  • Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to make informed decisions that benefit the company.

  • Responsible for overseeing all commercial partnerships with indirect suppliers in various areas such as professional services, temporary labor, travel, MRO, packaging, IT/Telecom, facilities, and utilities. Ensure that the required standards for cost, quality, delivery accuracy, sustainability, and other aspects are achieved.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of spending and categories to pinpoint opportunities within various indirect spending categories. Quantify the financial impacts or operational enhancements of these opportunities and create a business case justifying project implementation.

  • Manage cross-functional sourcing projects that meet annual net productivity goals for designated spending categories. Continuously generate project pipelines through cross-functional workshops and other means.

  • Implement strategic sourcing to drive value and execute cost-effective agreements meeting supply needs. Utilize a systematic approach and maintain a total cost of ownership focus. Lead negotiations, and develop, and uphold supplier agreements.

  • Drive supplier performance evaluations based on predefined Key Performance Indicators in cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.

  • Act as the representative of the Indirect Sourcing team in CAPEX planning and budgeting to ensure early involvement and enhanced visibility on major CAPEX acquisitions. Prepare project plans to support top priority CAPEX projects effectively.

  • Create and deliver monthly reports/presentations covering the financial outcomes of sourcing projects, as well as qualitative challenges and benefits associated with each project.

  • Ensure purchasing teams exchange best practices and lessons learned, follow consistent methodologies, and pursue objectives aligned with corporate, purchasing, and category goals. Enhance the professional, industry, purchasing, and category skills of multiple team members.

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with internal customers and other departments to ensure continuous improvement and meet service level agreements.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum.  Master’s degree in business or supply chain preferred.

  • 8+ years of purchasing experience in a global environment.

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in procurement and supply chain management.

  • Experience with modern digital supply chain sourcing tools and advanced technologies preferred. 

  • Experience managing capital equipment, ensuring optimal performance, and implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies.

  • Strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain processes are essential for success in this role.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a talent for building effective partnerships with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Experience in the consumer goods industry desired with experience managing domestic and global supplier networks. Must have experience managing sourced products, with additional commodities experience a plus.

  • Has cross-functional and direct leadership experience. Collaborative leadership style -- able to communicate and partner well across functions and suppliers. Builds a winning culture of transparency, creativity, professionalism, and performance.
