This role requires you to combine effective data analysis skills, communication abilities and ability to translate technical findings into clear recommended actions.

You will work with and support Hempel’s customers on a range of topics related to reduction of fuel consumption and other optimization related to coatings. This includes enrolling customers in our digital solution, setting up a data connection, analyzing data from the vessel, from satellite and environmental monitoring and from visual sources to provide holistic insights and recommendations on the performance of the vessel. The ultimate purpose is to help our customers optimize performance and minimize fuel cost and CO2 emissions. You will be a part of an international team and work in a truly global organisation where we collaborate closely with our regional teams to exceed client needs and expectations.

What you can look forward to in this role:

Anticipate an enriching experience with purpose. You will be part of a global team collaborating with colleagues from all over the world to support our customer’s in their decarbonisation efforts and improving the performance of their vessels. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enrolling customers to our range of digital solutions including collecting and assessing relevant data, setting up the customer in the back end and supporting them throughout the process

  • Analysing customer relevant data, using advanced data analytics, as well as compiling and interpreting relevant performance KPIs and trends

  • Assessing vessels hull performance based on insights from a combination of data sources like fuel performance data, visual inspection data and vessels operational and trading profile.

  • Delivering customer presentations in a structured and comprehensible manner.

  • Provide advice on hull maintenance strategies and actions based on the above assessment and knowledge about the properties and performance of our coatings.

  • Support and train local sales in utilizing the performance evidence to further promote our high-end coatings.

What does it take to become our new team member:

  • Academic background for instance in Naval architecture or Marine engineering and/or previous experience with vessel/hull performance

  • Proven experience and interest in using Data analysis to identify insights and recommendations

  • Good presentation skills and desire to work with cross functional teams with diversified backgrounds

  • Understanding of vessel operations, performance systems, biofouling growth or impact from hull coatings is a strong plus
